sorry to have left everyone in the dark, so to speak for the past several weeks. i've been out of town dealing with a family matter and will be home sometime next week. i'm doing what i can to schedule a meeting for janurary 7th, and will post more info here as soon as i have it. thank you all for your patience and i hope you all have a wonderful new year! :D

Crazy Last-Minute Change of Plans!
Alright, so there's been a -slight- change of plans... The whole meeting at the library tomorrow thing isn't going to work. [For tomorrow.] Major bummer finding out so late..I'm really sorry about the late notice! ^^; Instead of doing nothing and putting off meeting each other another week, why not meet up at the Chesterfield Towne Center for some food court lunch and a possilbe movie? I'll be in the food court at noon tomorrow, near the Bank of America ATM. Everyone can meet up and hang out for a while and get -super- psyched about meeting up next weekend to watch some awesome anime. :D
Again, I'm really sorry about the late notice. I only found out about an hour ago myself. ^^; It'd be so great to see you guys there tomorrow! :D

notice anything different? look closely...see the scrolling marquee towards the top of the page? it doesn't all say 'tba' anymore! ^_^ i'm having surgery on june 9th, next friday, so that's the main reason the first club meeting is about two weeks off. i'm looking forward to seeing who all shows up!
PLEASE keep in mind that if you're under eighteen, you'll need to have your guardian's permission to attend some of the club meetings.
[just about everything we show will be appropriate for folks of all ages, but come halloween we may want to venture into some of anime's "darker" corners.] the line-ups will always be posted well in advance, and will include detailed series synopsis and viewer ratings. i want very much for this to be a community-oriented club where anime lovin' folks can gather and commiserate - the last thing i want is a mob of angry parents coming after me for showing something they didn't want their precious child to see. ^^;
[and no, you cannot just bring me a piece of paper with a scrawled signature on it; if you're under eighteen your parents will have to escort you to any given meeting and sign the paper in front of me. please make sure both of you have photo ids; think of this as a visit to the movies. all of them will be kept on file to cover both my hind end as well as the library's. no exceptions will be made.]

i've just met someone who may very well be able to help me jump-start this thing! X] a few folks have contacted me via the cbox to the right, but i haven't heard back from most of 'em yet. ;b ah well, i'm still around. i'm glad a few of you have joined the yahooGroups mailing list, it's the quickest, easiest way to keep up-to-date around here. as soon as a time and location have been confirmed, i'll be sending out a message to those on the mailing list and off we'll go! keep checking back for updates, they'll be comming aaaaany day now! ^.^

alright! so i'm starting to get a feel for actually getting things started up. i
do need members, however. ;b the sooner i have members, the sooner this club'll have free anime! X] which'd be really cool. i'm pretty sure i've picked a venue; but nothing's "set in stone" yet. i've got lots of ideas a'swimming around in my tiny little mind. ways to 'advertise' the club, ways to raise funds, ways to keep in touch, ways to have fun liekWHOA. ^_^ it'll be good times, folks. trust me. ^.~
